ITC Engage launches the second edition of Engage Pocketful O’ Stories 2.0

ITC’s fragrance brand, Engage launched the second edition of ‘Engage Pocketful O’ Stories 2.0’, a compilation of crowd-sourced micro romance tales, curated and co-authored with India’s bestselling romance writer, Durjoy Datta. Datta said, “To see the world of love and romance through a fresh prism is a great experience.” Nandan Jha, Senior Vice President, Penguin Random House India was impressed with this initiative of connecting with the consumers. Commenting on the launch, Sameer Satpathy, Chief Executive, Personal Care Products Business, ITC said, “From the very inception of this idea, Engage has been able to drive affinity amongst its young consumers in a language they relate to – the language of playful romance.”

Super Smelters aims to bring down impact of natural hazards

The SAI Group of Company has planned an investment of Rs. 1000 crore in upcoming three-five years for expanding its production capacity of primarily TMT Bars. The company’s proposed investment will increase the production capacity from 20000 tonne per month to 100000 tonne within the next five years. According to Chetan Yagnik, Director- Sales and Marketing of the Company, “Our mainstay is the product’s fatigue strength and ductility. Neutralisation of stress in TMT bars due to ‘Advanced Rib Design’ and better yield strength of our TMT Rebar offers advantages in earthquake-prone zones.” Gopal Krishna Sharan, company’s Chief Mentor said, “We have incorporated the advanced ‘Heat Treatment Technology’ from Tempcore, Belgium and the fourth generation automation knowhow from Italy for online inspection of every TMT Bar which rolls out.”

ILS NABH accredition

ILS is the first hospital in the state of Tripura to have been accredited with NABH entry Level certification. ILS was empanelled with Ayushman Bharat. The hospital has treated more than 100 CHD cases so far.

Adamas University organised annual fest ADINOVA

Adamas University organised its annual fest ADINOVA at their cam-pus. The three-day long fest witnessed an array of activities by the students. Bangla band Dohar, Canada’s popular Indian singer Parag Ray, Bollywood duo Palash and Palak Muchhal and rock band Fossils performed at the fest. Speaking on this occasion, Professor Samit Ray, Chancellor, Adamas University said, “ADINOVA undoubtedly has not only created an environment where the students can unwind and relax but also invest time in ideating things which really matter in making a better society at large.”

JK Tyre Launches ‘Smart Tyreʼ at Auto Expo 2020

JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. launched their new smart tyre range at the Auto Expo 2020. Smart Tyres warrants maintenance of tyres through timely diagnostics by using sensors integrated with a Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS). The technology also delivers higher fuel efficiency up to 4-5% leading to reduction in carbon emission. Commenting on the launch, Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & MD said, “JK Tyre has always been on the forefront of innovation and technology. This technology provides an enhanced value proposition to vehicle owners, particularly fleets.”

Realme launches realme C3

Realme, the fastest growing smartphone brand announced the realme C3. The most powerful entry-level smartphone under Rs. 8000 will go on sale in all offline stores starting from 20th February, 2020. The smart phone with 5000mAH battery comes in two variants - 3GB + 32GB, priced at Rs. 6,999 and the 4GB + 64GB is priced at Rs. 7,999. Commenting on the brand’s expansion, Madhav Sheth, Vice President, realme and Chief Executive Officer, realme India, said, “Our entry level C series smartphones have received a phenomenal response from our loyal users as we have clocked in 10.2 million sales and we hope the realme C3 will continue our streak and make this series a winner.”

IWP draws up growth roadmap

Indian Wood Products Co. Limited (IWP), manufacturer of branded catechu or katha, which is celebrating 2019-20 as its centenary year, is drawing up an ambitious plan to expand its business. K K Mohta, Chairman, IWP said, “We are aiming to further consolidate its market position by embracing new technologies. We have been strategically procuring raw material at lower costs from Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam and other countries. We are also scouting for business opportunities and strengthening our International supply chain network which can also be leveraged for our spice business in the near future.”
